Ireland West Knock Welcomes CityJet on Dublin PSO Route!

Ireland West Airport Knock welcomes a new airline brand to its Airport following the announcement this afternoon by the Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey, T.D. that airline CityJet is to provide the daily return scheduled air services on its Public Service Obligation (PSO) regional air route to Dublin. The contract has been awarded to CityJet following an EU Public Tendering process and the new contract is for the three-year period commencing on 22 July 2008. Aer Arann is operating the current Dublin PSO contract.

Commenting on the announcement, CEO of Ireland West Airport Knock, Robert Grealis said: “The Airport believes that the route provides a valuable connection from the West of Ireland to Dublin and it is a necessary tool supporting and helping to sustain the economic and social development of the region. “
