Europe's leading regional airline, Flybe, are set to add an additional 16,000 new seats on its three services from Ireland West Airport to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester in 2018.
Flybe, who have been operating flights from the airport since 2011, have continued to grow their services, carrying almost 300,000 passengers across the three routes over the past number of years, providing invaluable connectivity between the West of Ireland and the UK.
Welcoming the capacity increase for 2018, Joe Gilmore, Managing Director, Ireland West Airport said ‘We are delighted to see Flybe add significant extra capacity on their three services in 2018. Flybe have been a valued customer of the airport for over six years now and continue to provide essential connectivity to key UK markets and we thank them for showing confidence in our airport and region with their enhanced 2018 schedule. This increased capacity is good news for both leisure and business passengers alike with all three services operating at daily frequencies for next summer, which will have a hugely positive impact on all counties in our region as a whole as we expect to welcome thousands of additional Scottish and English visitors to the West and North West next year as we seek to strengthen our position as the main international gateway for the Wild Atlantic Way.”
