New Travel Regulations from Spanish Government

The Spanish Authorities have requested that all passengers traveling to Spain submit details contained on their passport to the Spanish Authorities in advance of traveling to any part of Spain which includes Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, etc. This requirement has been in place during summer 2007. At Ireland West Airport, Knock passengers are required to submit their passport at check in and their passport is scanned to download this information. The information is then submitted to the Spanish Authorities in advance of the flight taking off. Passengers should not expect a delay as the required information is contained within a barcode on their passport which can be read easily.
