Ireland West Airport Knock Confirms The Discontinuation Of easyjey`s Gatwick Service

Further to Ryanair’s announcement today concerning the discontinuation of the Ireland West Knock / London Gatwick service, Ireland West Airport Knock announces that easyJet have confirmed that they will withdraw their London Gatwick service from early October this year.

Robert Grealis, Director of Finance and Operations at the Airport said:
“On top of the earlier news today from Ryanair, this confirmation from easyJet concerning their daily London Gatwick service is hugely disappointing. We understand that easyJet have made this decision in the belief that it can return better value to shareholders by using their Gatwick slots on other routes.
It means that we have to work doubly hard to find a replacement airline. We believe that the airport can offer an airline a route to and from the greater London area that has proven passenger numbers, good yield and a willing and pro-active airport partner, all essential elements for a successful route”.
