Ireland West Airport Knock to host Airport Celebration Day on Saturday 23rd July 5:30pm to 8:30pm - Fun day out for family and friends with activities for all ages

Ireland West Airport Knock in association with the Western People and Mid West Radio are excited to announce that it will be hosting an ‘Airport Celebration Day’ at the airport on Saturday 23rd July between 5:30pm and 8:30pm. to mark the airports 25th anniversary and to commemorate the late Monsignor Horans 100th birthday.

The event promises to be a fun filled evening for family and friends with a huge selection of activities to enjoy on the day including aircraft displays, airport fire engine displays, see the Air Sea Rescue Helicopter and meet the crew, watch an amazing aerobatic display plus many more surprises on the day.

For the kids theres, bouncy castles, slides, face painting, puppet shows and much more with special guest appearances from some well known kids cartoon characters on the day.
For the bargain hunters, the Airports retail shop will be opened to the public where shoppers will be able to choose from some of the best brands from home and around the world at prices that wont be beaten downtown.  Save up to 40% on downtown prices on well known perfume, aftershave make-up and skincare brands.  On the evening there will be additional great offers in store offering shoppers even more great savings on their favorite brands!

There will be live music and DJ enetertainment and our Sláinte Restaurant and Dananns’s Café bar will also be open serving hot food and beverages and Mid West Radio will be broadcasting live from the airport on the day with live interviews competitions and great music promised .
Speaking about the event Joe Gilmore, managing director, Ireland West Airport Knock said ‘We are delighted to be opening our doors to the public for what promises to be a fun filled day for people of all ages to enjoy.  This free event is our way of saying thank you to the public for the support they have given the airport over the past 25 years and also in commemorating what would have been the late great Monsignor Horans 100th birthday.  We have an evening full of fun and entertainment and we look forward to welcoming a big crowd to the airport to join in the festivities’

Admission and car parking are free and all activities and games on the day are free of charge..
